BIOGRAPHY

In the Army Roll of Honour, it is recorded that Harold Lamb was born in Perth, Scotland; lived in Liverpool and, during the Second World War, served in the North Caribbean theatre of war.

In the CWGC Debt of Honour website it is recorded that Private Harold Lamb (No. 14770658) died on 18 June 1944 and this is confirmed by his death certificate (the Army Roll of Honour gives 11 June 1944 as his date of death).  Private Harold Lamb was a 37-year-old bachelor stationed at the Primary Training Centre (PTC), Ballykinlar Camp, Co. Down when he became ill and was transferred to Bangor Military Hospital.  He died there on 18 June 1944 as the result of a perforated duodenal ulcer and was buried on 23 June 1944 in Bangor Cemetery.
