Samuel Kirham’s birth was registered in the fourth quarter of 1919 in Ffestiniog, Merionethshire and his mother’s maiden name was Smith.

Samuel Kirham lived in Liverpool and, during the Second World War, he served with the Durham Light Infantry.

Stationed in Palace Barracks, Holywood, Private Samuel Kirham (No. 4458471) was 20 and unmarried when he died on 2 March 1940 in the Military Hospital, Knocknagoney.

Private Samuel Kirham (No. 4458471) died of tuberculous peritonitis and three days after he died he was buried in Holywood Cemetery.
