BIOGRAPHY

William Gallagher Gordon was born on 22 June 1919 at 48 University Road, Belfast and he was a son of Thomas Craig Gordon and Annie Margaret Gordon (nee Scott) who were married on 21 December 1915 in Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.  Thomas Craig Gordon worked as an accountant and stockbroker.

William Gallagher Gordon was a grandson of John Gordon (a teacher) and Sarah (Sally) Gordon (nee Gallagher) who were married on 29 July 1856 in Watton-on-the-Hill Parish Church, Lancaster.

William Gallagher Gordon was a Pilot Instructor and he was 26 when he died in an aircraft accident on 21 May 1946.  His address was recorded in the Movilla burial register as 60 Moss Lane, Pinner in Middlesex.  He died at RAF South Cerney near Cirencester in Gloucestershire and his effects amounted to some £391.  Probate was granted to his widowed mother.
