BIOGRAPHY
It is recorded in the Army Roll of Honour 1939-1945 that Fusilier William Fox (No. 6985086) was born in the Republic of Ireland and he lived at 28 Phibsborough Road, Dublin. His birth was registered in the fourth quarter of 1922 in Dublin North.
During the Second World War Fusilier William Fox (No. 6985086) served with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and he was 18 and unmarried when he died of tubercular meningitis on 16 June 1941 in the 24th (London) General Hospital, Belfast. This hospital was also known as Campbell College Military Hospital. Two days later, Fusilier William Fox (No. 6985086) was buried in Holywood Cemetery, Roman Catholic Ground, Collective Grave 1042.
