BIOGRAPHY

Able Seaman Victor Frank Douglas Dolan (No. P/JX 142717) died of typhoid fever at Newtownards Fever Hospital on 20 June 1941 (aged 21) and was buried in Belfast City Cemetery (Glenalina Extension Section D Grave 5).  There is a personal inscription on his CWGC headstone:

Victor Frank Douglas Dolan was born on 2 August 1919 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, and he was a son of I. Dolan (nee Parrar) of Southsea, Hampshire.  He was unmarried.
